About the Community

Lakeview Farm Condominiums is a 55+ community with twenty 2-bedroom single family homes and eight 1-bedroom duplex homes located on 17.5 acres in Windham, NH. The homes line two private roads, Harvest Road and Pond View Road. The community is self-managed by the Lakeview Farm Homeowners Association.

Services

In the warmer months the HOA provides landscaping including spring clean-up, mulching, lawn mowing, weeding, and fall cleanup. Lawn irrigation is provided by a private well. Over the winter the HOA provides plowing of the street and driveways, salting and sanding, and shoveling. It also provides trash collection. Mail is delivered at the community mail house, Eversource provides electrical service, Pennichuck Water Works provides water, and Comcast and Fidium are available for cable/internet service.

Access to Cobbetts Pond

Residents have access to Cobbetts Pond for wading, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, waterboarding, etc. and there is a small, shared beach area. There is no boat dock or mooring available. The Windham town beach is a short distance away and offers a superior swimming experience free to town residents.

History

Lakeview Farm, located at 94 Range Road in Windham, NH, began as the Dinsmoor family homestead in 1736. In time the Dinsmoor family operated a highly successful orchard on the property. A historic barn, circa 1884, still stands (but it is not part of the condominiums). Eventually the bulk of the property was sold and became the 9-hole Lakeview Golf Course. When the golf course closed the property was again sold and became the Lakeview Farm Condominiums.

To the north, New Hampshire's White Mountains and nearby Lake Winnipesaukee provide year-round recreation, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, camping, boating, and breathtaking scenery throughout the warmer months. Closer to home, Cobbetts Pond and numerous nearby lakes and ponds offer convenient opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and simply relaxing by the water.

To the east, the beaches and charming seaside towns of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts make perfect day-trip destinations. And when autumn arrives, few experiences compare to a drive through New England's colorful countryside, where vibrant foliage, covered bridges, and picturesque villages create memories that last a lifetime.
